On 24 June, UPCYCLE took part in the General Assembly of its sister project EOILÉ, contributing to discussions on how projects working on sustainable materials can strengthen their joint impact.

A key moment of the event was a joint session with the sister projects BioPackMan, BeUp, and GRECO, focused on identifying common challenges and defining possible directions for collaboration.

As part of this session, Cristiano Varrone from Aalborg University, UPCYCLE project coordinator, delivered a presentation outlining practical ways to structure joint activities across projects. The contribution focused on moving from parallel work towards more coordinated actions.

The presentation explored how working groups and shared initiatives could be set up to amplify impact and reduce fragmentation. It also highlighted where collaboration can create added value and which organisations could take a leading role in specific activities.

Bringing these perspectives together helped define clearer priorities for collaboration and a more coordinated approach to addressing shared challenges in sustainable materials.

Participation in the EOILÉ General Assembly highlights UPCYCLE’s role in shaping how collaboration can translate into more aligned actions, supporting the development of solutions that are better connected and closer to practical application.
