The UPCYCLE project was recently presented during the Workshop on Innovation in Sustainable Meat Packaging, organised within the framework of the REDYSIGN project General Assembly. The workshop took place on 3 March 2026 at IRTA Torre Marimon in Caldes de Montbui (Catalonia, Spain) and brought together around 30 stakeholders from across the meat and packaging value chain.

The UPCYCLE project will host its second industry roundtable discussion during the upcoming event “The Future of Sustainable Plastics 2026”, taking place on 20 March 2026 in Aalborg, Denmark. Organised by the AAU Plastics Platform, the event will bring together researchers, industry leaders, and policy stakeholders to explore the latest developments shaping the future of sustainable plastics in Europe.

The UPCYCLE project successfully held its First Industry Roundtable on 24 February 2026 at Villa Anamma in Gent. The event, organised by project partner PACK4FOOD, brought together representatives from industry, research, and public authorities for a focused exchange on the opportunities emerging at the intersection of bioupcycling, EU policy, and sustainable packaging innovation.

The UPCYCLE project is pleased to announce its participation in the BioSupPack Final Event, a dedicated session showcasing advances in PHA-based rigid packaging solutions developed through an integrated value-chain approach.

On 20 March 2026, AAU Plastics platform will host 'The Future of Sustainable Plastics 2026' in Aalborg, bringing together leading researchers, industry representatives and policy stakeholders to explore practical pathways towards circular plastic systems.

The UPCYCLE project was represented at the BESSY@HZB User Meeting 2025, held on 3–4 December 2025 in Berlin. The event brought together several hundred synchrotron users and researchers from around the world. This year’s programme featured scientific updates, technical discussions, a marketplace of innovation, and exchanges on the development of the nextgeneration light source BESSY III.
