On 24 February 2026, the UPCYCLE project invites industry stakeholders to take part in its First Industry Roundtable, a dedicated in-person event designed to foster high-level discussion on the future of bio-upcycling and sustainable packaging in Europe.
Hosted in Gent, this roundtable will bring together professionals from industry, innovation, and policy to exchange perspectives on how EU bioeconomy policies and regulatory frameworks are shaping the packaging sector and how companies can turn these changes into opportunities.
At the heart of the event is an in-depth expert lecture exploring the EU Bioeconomy Strategy, with a particular focus on its implications for innovation, in connection with the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). This session will provide you with direct and uptodate insights into how the new Bioeconomy Strategy and the PPWR will affect your sector, as well as the opportunities that may arise from these changes.
The expert session will be delivered by a representative from OVAM – Public Waste Agency of Flanders, offering a valuable policy-informed perspective grounded in regulatory practice and regional implementation.
