The UPCYCLE project was proudly represented at the ECO Chemical Solutions (ECHS) event held in Valencia from 11 to 13 November 2025. This edition of ECHS, organised by QUIMACOVA, brought together more than forty companies from the chemical sector based in the Valencian Community, many of which have a significant international presence.
AIMPLAS, one of UPCYCLE’s key partners, showcased the project’s innovative approach to transforming non‑recyclable mixed plastic waste into next‑generation recyclable and more biodegradable packaging materials. Their participation helped highlight UPCYCLE’s role in advancing sustainable polymer technologies and supporting the transition towards circular, low‑emission value chains.
The ECO Chemical Solutions event offered sector‑specific spaces focused on the use of chemicals in industrial processes, providing concrete solutions and insights across the main productive sectors. This created an excellent platform for UPCYCLE to engage with stakeholders, share technical progress, and explore synergies with industry actors committed to sustainable chemical innovation.
UPCYCLE’s presence at ECHS strengthened its visibility among industrial leaders and reinforced its mission to upscale chemo‑enzymatic depolymerisation, microbial upcycling, and eco‑designed polymer formulations to TRL7, contributing to a more sustainable European plastics ecosystem.
